The American Jazz Trumpeter by S. Christopher James, is a representative portrait of the late great Miles Davis from the 1980s. He is said to be one of the most acclaimed and influential jazz musicians of the Twentieth Century. His Album, Kind of Blue, is one of my favorites from a career that saw many excellent works attributed to him.
